17th July - Khunmae Thai & Close Up Magic with Josh Hooper
We’re delighted to welcome Khunmae Thai Kitchen to our Street Food Fridays, serving up authentic Thai street food packed with bold flavours and fresh ingredients.
From rich, fragrant curries to perfectly balanced stir-fries, every dish is cooked fresh and full of that unmistakable Thai kick – sweet, spicy, and seriously satisfying.
It’s proper feel-good food, made with passion and tradition, and the perfect match for a relaxed summer evening at The Halfway
Plus we will be joined by the incredibly talented Josh Hooper, a professional close-up magician known for his slick card magic, quick wit and brilliantly interactive style. Blending comedy with mind-blowing tricks right before your eyes, Josh moves from table to table creating unforgettable moments, plenty of laughs, and those “how did he do that?!” reactions.
It’s the perfect way to add a little extra magic to your visit—definitely not one to miss! 
24th July - 3 Sisters bread Co Pizza's, from 6pm to sell out!
Three Sisters Bread Co. are a local artisan bakery known for their beautifully crafted sourdough, bagels and baked goods, made with real care and quality ingredients.
Bringing their passion for proper bread to the road, their pizza pop-up serves up freshly made, hand-stretched pizzas with that same signature sourdough base—crisp, flavourful and seriously moreish.
Expect relaxed street food vibes, top-quality ingredients, and pizza worth planning your Friday around. 
25th July - Private Party Booking - Pub closed to the public
Pub Quiz Night 
Join us on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30pm for our much-loved pub quiz!
Run by the locals (who take their quizzing very seriously), it’s a proper test of knowledge with plenty of laughs along the way.
Teams of up to 6 players, entry is just £2 per person, with all proceeds going to the fantastic Wales Air Ambulance.
Grab your team, grab a pint, and see if you’ve got what it takes to take the crown… or at least not come last

21st August - The Hungry Cowboy & Live music with Half Rat
The Hungry Cowboy brings bold, Texas-inspired street food to The Halfway, serving up seriously satisfying smoked meats and loaded comfort dishes. Think slow-cooked brisket, tender pulled pork, and indulgent loaded fries—all packed with big, smoky flavour and proper cowboy-style portions.
It’s hearty, no-nonsense food with a modern street food twist… the kind you’ll be thinking about long after the last bite. 
Plus The Half Rat an acoustic trio serving up crowd-pleasing covers from across the decades.
Blending classic favourites with modern hits, they put their own acoustic spin on songs that keep audiences singing along from start to finish. With plenty of energy, good humour, and a setlist packed with familiar tunes, The Half Rat are guaranteed to get the pub buzzing.
